Contact paper
By jacque

Clip to ScrapBook
I used Contact paper last year to amke things look "cute". I bought it at TARGET by the roll and covered lots of stuff...coffee cans, sturdy shoe boxes, vegy cans, boxes of many shapes and sizes. It looked nicer than a
plain box or can and it all corrdinated! Not that I'm a "Martha Stewart" but it made me feel better and looked nice. I also have many plants in my class. It's amazing how plants can warm up a classroom. I agree with the previous poster about paint. I bought a can of clearance paint at Home Depot last year and painted things that were given to me or cheap stuff I bought at garage sales.
A beat up wooden bar-stool, old shelves, a wooden magazine rack..I sanded and painted all of them and you would never know where they came from or what they looked like before the paint job. My project for this summer...to find a beat up wooden chair to use for an AUTHORS CHAIR. I still have some paint!!!Good Luck and have fun.
