    I've been there too...

You are feeling the same thing I felt when I started teaching just last year. I didn't know what to expect and felt extra overwhelmed with all the things I wanted to do as a new teacher. I must say that I am a big worry head. I am constantly reflecting on what I'm doing and how it turned out and I think that is a very important trait in any teacher. As teachers we should be able to reflect on what we are doing in order to see what works and what needs improvement. It's like our self-check!
As for your new year, don't worry too much (a little worrying is always important). Just relax, get prepared, and once you get prepared you'll be more confident about doing your job. Always remember, YOU are in charge of the room, not the students. Never feel nervous or scared, even if you don't show it, the students will know it. The most self-confidence you have, the better it will be. Remember, even if it doesn't go as you planned it the first time, there is always room to improve and try again. Never give up! Hope this helps out a bit. Take care and if you ever need any more advice, don't hesitate to write.
