resource room
By Denese

Clip to ScrapBook
I don't have any pictures, but I did teach resource last year (kindergarten special education). A lot of what you can do will depend on how large your room is. My room was tiny & I had to share it with a Title I teacher &
3 PALS tutors, so space was limited. I taught all subjects, so I made sure I had use of bulletin boards. One board I used to display artwork, seasonal themes, etc. On the other I had a calendar where we did the morning meeting & went over the days of the week, months, etc. Over top of that I tacked alphabet cards so that we could review the letters daily. Basically, I had to keep decorating
to a minimum because of space & the fact that too much stimulation is a bad thing. I also had tables for the children to sit at & small baskets in which they keep their supplies. I did post my rules & consequences on a chart poster on the wall. I hope this helps!
