I've got the game for you!
By Joan

Clip to ScrapBook
I write sentence starters (one for each student) on thin strips of paper. Examples: The best vacation I ever took was... OR My favorite dessert is.... I roll them up tightly and put them into balloons. Blow up and tie the balloons. The students take turns choosing a balloon to pop. They have to say their name and read and finish the starter in front of the class. The popping gets a lot of laughs (some sit on it, some pop with pencil, etc.) and the kids love to share a little information about themselves. This has been a winner with my students for several years. Have fun.
