Multi age
By Debbie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi all,
Multi age is wonderful...you're going to need to think about how to integrate curriculum from SS and Sci into your Language Arts and Math blocks. Start by copying all the standards from the state and other district
ones one sided...then cut these up into related segments. Take a large piece of butcher paper and start moving the blocks from science together with the ones in SS till you have as many categorized in clumps as possible...For instance, if you're teaching the AM Revolutionary War, you could tie science into it by researching supply and demand, for the things the people could only get
from England because of the technology or natural resources. You also need to think about the process vs product standards...the process standards would be worked on thruout the regardless of the content...things like safe experiment procedures. Hope this helps. For the first year, I'd be sure you address the content for the olders, because they're leaving you. Then you have another entire year before you'd need to revisit that content, with a new bunch. If you have questions, please email or post again...;-D
