I haven't even started teaching in the inner city and already I'm getting grief, so I know what you mean. Everyone has been asking me where I'm going to teach and when I name the inner city district they just make a negative comment and are instantly worried about me. I mean, I know I will be fine and I'm excited about my job BUT it makes me not want to share my excitement with others. They really look down on the school district I'm going to work for.
