Clip to ScrapBook
This is an idea that some of our parish school's have also begun to use. I teach 4th grade and at the end of the year, we met with our 3rd grade teachers to give them a list of skills that the new third graders should be
capable of by the end of the year - thus coming to 4th grade ready. We rephrased the terms into "student-friendly" language. The fifth grade did the same for us. We plan to post that list on our walls.

An idea that I had for tracking benchmarks is to give the students a list to keep in a data folder and, as a skill is covered and/or mastered, the student could highlight the skill in their

own folder. This folder can be used as documentation of what you've covered and what the students have mastered.

We are looking forward to seeing the outcome of our new ideas next year.
