FYI-- There is a movie version of this book, but it is absolutely awful-- very old, low budget, poor visuals, etc.

I have seen this done very effectively put into a play done by 6th graders.

THere is also a very good teacher's guide that I used when I taught this story, but I can't remember the company that published it.
