I use a lot of the clear plastic Sterilite storage boxes with lids. They come in all sizes, stack nicely and you can see what is in the boxes. I also large heavy-duty laundry baskets. They are easy to carry and hold up pretty well - just don't get the cheapy ones. They don't last. I'll keep thinking about other ideas.
