Saxon
By Kimberly

Clip to ScrapBook
I have taught Saxon math for 4 years now. I love it. What I do is divide out the lessons to spread out over the year. That way I can see how much time I have to get it all done and decide where I feel the kids will need more than the lessons provided. I teach 2nd grade, but we always need extra time for measurement, time, fractions, double-digit addition and subtraction, problem solving every Friday, etc.

We start the year doing about 4 Saxon lessons a week and then about March we drop back to 3. I do not stick to this schedule religiously, but it is a nice guideline.
