4th grade

I just got hired for 4th grade, too! It is also my first year. I teach in CT. I am so nervous and yet so excited. I was wondering what types of writing fourth graders work on. Also, how is reading handled. I did my student teaching in 3rd grade and know literature circles are more apparent in 4th grade. Any suggestions??
