Attend./Lunch Count
By JHE

Clip to ScrapBook
My idea is very much like the previous suggestion. I use large craft sticks (tongue depressor size)and put each child's name and classroom number on them. They are then attached with velcro to a convienient spot near the door. The students deposit their stick in the appropriate cup upon entering. It is someone's job to count and record lunch count for the day. Attendance is simply done by checking to see whose stick remains. Because they are numbered, it is easy to put them back on the velcro strip for the next day.
