Clip to ScrapBook
For the 100th day of school we collected non perishable food items to donate to a local food bank. We also counted and graphed the items.
For Christmas we participated in Samaritan's purse program or something similar. The students brought a decorated shoe box filled with toys, candy, etc. to be given to a less fortunate child.
If you have really good readers you could work with a kindergarten class and your students could be their reading buddies.
I hope this helps.
