Shared Experience

Clip to ScrapBook
Olivia:

I, too, was considered for two positions at my current school, a school I teach as a secondary teacher. Many are advising me to MOVE ON also. But they don't realize how poorly I perform during observations or
interviews. I haven't always done poorly in the past, but for some reason or reasons I seem to be on a downward roll.

I think the best tip anyone can give us is to keep practicing interviewing. I plan to interview at schools I KNOW I don't want to work for. But I want the practice. That way, when another position opens up at my school, I will be more polished.

I think what we need

to do is reflect, reflect. From each interview experience, keep what worked and figure out what our weaknesses are and figure out how to improve them.

Just remember: you are not the only one who stumbles when it comes to interviews. We WILL improve! Let's be positive.
