After 25 years of teaching, I removed my desk. I have a rolling set of drawers for my "paraphernalia". It is great to open the space in the room. I did get an extra kidney shaped table for the classroom and this is where I spread out to plan, prep, assess, etc. It is also another place for small group work during class time.I love it! I should have given up the desk long ago!
