What is your name?
By Amie

Clip to ScrapBook
Quincy, the name thing is my biggest challenge as a substitute. My memory is not the best and I really struggle with this. I love when teachers have name tags for the kids. I have been in a couple classes where it was
classroom policy that everyone wore nametags when there was a guest in the room. The name tags are nice, durable ones that the kids designed themself.

I brought some sticky, envelope labels and asked students to make a quick name tag to help me. They fell off a lot and a lot of kids switched tags with each other.

Playing a name game at the beginning helps me a lot but there is just

not time to do this often. Sometimes I feel like I struggle to get through all the plans the teacher left. Many classes have pictures of the kids up with their names and that helps a lot too! What works for everyone else?
