Pencils
By Cathy

Clip to ScrapBook
A very wise man (or a wise guy) shared a funny solution to this problem. If a student asks to borrow a pencil, tell them that they must leave their shoe with you until the end of the day. When they return the pencil, you will return the shoe!! Seriously, you could try having students leave something small (a key, sticker book, gel pen, etc...) with you. At the end of the day he or she will want what they left with you so they may be more apt to return your pencil. It's worth a try!!
