Clip to ScrapBook
I am so glad you see the importance of printing well. First graders should do printing practice ALL year long as there is a lot of fine motor development during this year. There is one thing I do to which the first graders are VERY receptive. When modeling certain letters on the board, I write them correctly a few times properly, then I do it incorrectly. I say "Should I write my "B" like this?" then start from the bottom or forget to "bump" the lines or fail to connect lines. The kids really pay attention to this and it always gets a laugh!
