I have taught 4th grade for two years. Here is what I do for homework. Students who turn in homework on time and complete when it is due can play Homeworkopoly. I got this game from a web site. If work is late, that student can stay in from recess to finish it. If it still does not come in by the end of recess, I take 5 points off the paper. Usually this is enough of a reminder to prod them into getting work done. If not, I send home a note. I hate for the kids to earn a zero.
