To be honest
By Cathy-Dee

Clip to ScrapBook
I really believe it is the school atmosphere, the staff and especially the administration which makes it or breaks it for a new teacher. A new teacher can handle difficult students, "at-risk" students, etc., as long as the
support is there as well.

And many schools still have those "at-risk" students but because they are not the majority in the school the supports are not always as effective. So another school may still end up having challenging classes but you wouldn't have the same support this school seems to have.

I think it could be a great position and definitely one you will learn from. The

school and the staff sound like they are positive and that does make a huge difference. And spending a year at this school would give you more time to learn about the other schools in your district in case you wanted to apply out to one of them next year.
