Unappreciative teacher

Donna, I would try not to take it personally, although I know that's easier said than done. I would imagine it felt like a slap in the face after all your hard work with her class for 5 months! Maybe her circumstances causing her to require the 5 month leave had not been satisfactorily resolved, and she was resentful for needing to return prematurely and just took it out on you. (Excuse me, but it's my nature to try to analyze WHY people behave the way they do. My professional certification is in vocational rehabilitation, if that explains it.) Hope this has helped in some small way.
