the best teacher

Isn't it ironic that the ones that give you the hardest time are often the ones that love you the most? I too had a girl this year who was more street smart and tough than me who was a real challenge for me. She had the hardest time giving any kind of compliment to anyone, but finally the last few days she QUIETLY said so some other children (I overheard her) that I was the best teacher. It made me feel good because whether she knew it or not, I tried my best to take her under my wing and get her to enjoy coming to school. It does make you feel good, it really does.
