Clip to ScrapBook
I just checked the website and most of the speakers seem to be "professional" guest speakers (read..selling their stuff) but I found a handful of teacher speakers so inspiring and efficient that I'm ready to make the long
journey back down to Florida just to attend!
Check out the sessions by Sherry Knight, Stephanie Noland and Ellen Thompson. Also Donna VanderWeide (not a teacher)looks very good too! I started taking notes of the sessions but then ended up just printing out the schedule...14 pages worth. Alot of this information is stuff you/we probably already do or plan to do in the classroom but
I always get subtle details and hints that help fine tune my system(s)/method(s).
If you go, try to go with another teacher from your school to plan out the sessions you will "separately" attend and then share/swap the knowledge.
There are alot of overlaps of sessions I want to attend so I will definitely miss some sessions I want to see. I sent an email requesting info on pricing because I did't see anything about money. I'll make my decision about registering after I find out about costs and talk to my husband. Life gets complicated when you're not single and childless. We can post the highlights for those too far away to attend. Can you tell I'm gung ho to return to the classroom? Does this mean I'm an easy target for early burnout?
