Congrats! I can't believe you are all going back after 6 weeks. I live in Ontario, we can take up to 1 year with 55% of our salary from provincial unemployement benefits. I plan on going back in September ( I'm due in December).I
hope you are more worried about leaving your baby than your first graders. As teacher we sometimes take this job to seriously. Your child must come first, not everyone elses. I find it very difficult to understand it when we spend more time and energy on other people's children and what is left over is for our own. I fight it all the time also but enjoy your baby and do not worry
about your students. My first is 4 now and I resent my career sometimes because of the time it takes aways from my own. I don't think twice about buying resources for my students but look for bargains and buy only on sale for my daughter. Go figure!!!Everything has a way of taking care of itself if you take care of yourself first. Your students will be fine without you and you will adjust just fine when you get back. But please when you are away ....stay away.... concentrate on your baby and your health!

God bless.
Lianne
