I like your idea about having three experiments for the entire class to share. I assume they will all be doing the research together. How about going out tonight and buying a bunch of different types of bubble
gum. The kids could pose three hypothesis, do the research, and graph the results for display all with a common theme (which is kid friendly...bubble gum). One could be which type of gum is preferred by kids...a simple taste test without the wrappers in sight. The second could be which type of gum blows the largest bubbles, which could use some measurement with rulers. The third could
be which type of gum holds it's flavor the longest, which would mean chewing all day and involving keeping track of hours and minutes on the board up front. Just a few rough ideas. Hope they help.
