I had my kiddos do an art project based on this book...Draw a fish and color with crayons, making it really colorful, like the rainbow fish, obviously, then watercoloring the water, using blues and lilacs, then when dry, glittering one scale with silver glitter. Looks nice, uses different mediums, and shows how the waxy crayons resists the watercolors. Have fun!
