A slight ray of hope?

I'm haveing the same problem. I work in a school that I have to get out of but have only resived 1 interviwe so far. What bothers me is that I just graduated on January and all I heard was how ther is such a large teacher shortage, particulary in my state (Illinois). Something that has been holding me over is that a friend of mine graduated a little over a year ago and when she put out applications she did not hear anything all summer long. About 2 weeks before school started she got 2 offers in local schools. I keep hope by beliveing that most schools will not call people for interviews untill its colser to the next school year.
