It's wonderful to see the continual goal setting by teachers on this board...everyone's always trying to do more to support the individual needs of their learners...If you're looking for some great books for supporting Writer's Workshop, try Heinemann, Stenhouse, or Christopher Gordon publishers. Also see the works of Marie Clay. For many children, writing comes on board before reading because the child controls the message. That's why it's vital to do both each day, and support both well. See Interactive Writing by McCarrier and Pinnell for additional support. ;-D
