First year -First grade

That was so me this past year! I've been teaching for 13 years but spent this last year teaching first for the first time with 2 other teachers who had only spent one year teaching! You will have quite a bit more experience to draw from than your grade partners but don't hesitate to ask them for help when you get over- whelmed. I went to a great one day conference on literacy centers that may help you. It was lead by C.C. Bates and you can go to www.sde.com for info. Most of all please be sure to laugh each day- a little levity goes a long way! And don't forget to rest up this summer!
