Clip to ScrapBook
How about a class quilt? Each student designs a construction paper square with collage materials depicting their interests/details about themselves. You could model the activity by making your own square telling about yourself.
Culminate the activity by having the students each attach their square to the quilt with hole punch/ yarn method. The completed quilt can be displayed on a wall.

Another activity you could try is "art musical chairs". Set up desks back-to-back as in the traditional game, with each desk containing a piece of drawing paper and a different colored marker. Play some catchy music and

have the students move around the set-up desks. When the music stops, they must sit down at the desk they stop in front of and start drawing. Each time the music starts, they stop drawing, stand up and move around until the music once again stops and they find themselves in another seat, continuing the drawing where the last person left off. Chairs are not removed as in the traditional game, but it is a good exercise in cooperation and the students usually end up having a good time. Good luck.
