Mosaic of thought is an excellent book. It really makes you think about your own reading. A good companion by Ellin Keene's colleagues Harvey and Goudvis is Stratgies that Work. It helps you put Keenes's ideas into practice with your students. I also really like The Art of teaching Reading and GR&W. Something to think about - Don't feel llike you have to read the whole thing cover to cover. Use the index! Pick and choose what is important any particular time. KDon't try to work on everything at once. You'll go nuts. Good Luck!
