Oh, I get a bit "nervey" on those calls! I figure that, A) They don't know me B) They are in another state C) The worst they could say is no, but they won't because they want to sell their curriculum. Explain to them that you are wanting to look at their materials and test some of their curriculum out for the fourth and fifth grade levels. Mention that your school may be looking for a new curriculum that is standards-based and you've heard wonderful things about their curriculum. Most companies are eager to please the requests! Good luck! Go get 'em! Growl before you dial the number! (*Giggle)
