math
By Elaine

Clip to ScrapBook
I'm with Debbie - I LOVE Investigations! It is how I love to teach, I love watching the kids come up with their own strategies, sharing them, learning from one another, and actually telling me that they love math. That's
just the outer skin of course. There's the wonderful part of actually instilling concepts and a mathematical part into them. I had a father tell me today of his daughter who REALLY struggles in math, "I can't believe that she loves math so much when she struggles in that area so much!" He happened to stop during math time, so I brought him in and showed him what they were up to and
he was amazed!
Now, before you go buying it, check out what they'll do or costs of samples because we got the whole kit-n-caboodle for our sample. If that doesn't pan out to be cheap, how about a grant? Or staff development money? I know how much comes out of my own pocket and hope that someday I can "curb" my spending!*80) Just some thoughts! Thanks again for your thoughts!
