Differentated Instruction
By Debbie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi all,
I got the researcher wrong on this...it's Tomlinson, Carol Ann. (1999). The Differentiated Classroom Responding to the Needs of All Learners, ASCD. is one of the books she's written. Actually, the idea of differentiated
instruction is as old as the one room school house. Due to the incredible brain based research out, they're finding that many of the 'traditional' ways we've structured classrooms goes against how the brain learns (maybe that's not the best word, but at this time of night...) I just ordered 4 books on this topic, as we're trying to rethink our staff development model. Thank
you for the compliment, really I just READ LOTS and have the support to try out whatever I feel will benefit children. Glad to see everyone's hanging in there, are you feeling as rushed right now as I am??? I cannot believe there are only 11 or so more weeks left in this school year!!! Take care everyone. ;-D
