Creating space
By Debbie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Jennifer,
My suggestion is to go with tables (if you can get them), they take up a lot less space than desks. The kids can use cubbies (district makes them for us-nearly like an office supply literature organizer but
they're a big deeper, and bigger). The extra tables in the room are used for whatever is necessary, we don't have specific areas as centers. We purchased lots of little book bins and have nearly floor to ceiling book shelving in the room. Books are arranged by author/level/genre/topic on the higher shelves, and these are moved to tubs as they need/want them. A loft can also double
space, top for a reading area and the bottom with a couch, table and light for writing, etc. Immediate supplies are on each table in painter's organizers, and other items are stored in rolling plastic drawer organizers...Hope this helps. ;-D
