It took me a long time to get back here on the Board and find your tip, but using the post-it note idea sounds like it could work. Since I do individualized reader's workshop, we are not ever all reading the same book at the same time; however, I thought I could give it a try using our read aloud book that we all have in common. Next year when I have my new 4th graders and we are doing literature discussion groups, I'll be able to really put the idea into practice. Thanks for writing, Julie. I'll let you know how the "Wall" works for us.
