Actually the book I referred to was a textbook that was left behind after a textbook selection process. I'll try to put my hands on it and scan it for more info. If I find anything I thing is particularly interesting or of value, I will get the info to you one way or the other. I read Atwell's In the Middle but have not had the pleasure of reading a Calkins work. I have The Art of Teaching Reading. I think that's the title. Is that Caulkins? If you are familiar with that title, do you recommend it as a valuable resource? I have so many things to read and need to know where/how to set my priorities.
