I do agree with you that Literature Conversations are a form of Guided Reading, but as a Kinder teacher I used the GR process and I would not say that the books they were reading would fit the category of great literature. They were 'great' for their purpose, but my idea of literature is a book you may revisit again and again and find something unique each time you read. So glad you've joined us again, now we need to hear from Samantha and some of our other colleagues! And hopefully we can expand the conversation to a wider audience... ;-D Take care all!!!
