GR and Literature Studies/Literature Circles
By Erica

Clip to ScrapBook
In my opinion, Guided Reading groups are literature stuides! It is an individualized approach, allowing students to look at literature that is appropriate to their level of comprehension. As they look at the literature, they will begin to notice different aspects within each author's style that they might take a risk and use within their own writing. The purpose of Literature studies/circles and GR is for students to better comprehend the text. So trust me, once you begin your Guided Reading (if you haven't already done so), you will see how it all comes together! So relax, you are doing better than u are giving yourself credit for! Take care- Erica
