Subject integration
By Debbie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Elaine,
So good to hear from you...don't know what the problem is with the email! Are you feeling better?
I have two students who go out for parts of the day. I save their groups for when they return. I also do the whole group interactive read alouds and other mini lessons just before they leave. So far it's working. We're still gathering literature books for better integration (math/science is more difficult than social studies but a continual focus on research is helping somewhat with that). I'm struggling with gathering more meaningful minilessons in writing, to help the children use what they're reading as writers. Any thoughts? ;-D
