I may have emailed you on this, but if I didn't...I went to a Literacy Conference last year and had an opportunity to hear F & P talk about using a transitional model at about the midpoint of second grade...I have a chart they gave outlining these transitions. If you'd like it, email...so yes Guiding Readers and Writers would be helpful for you as well even though the cover says it's for 3-6. ;-D
