Hi HELP ME

I too was frustrated with her schedule. I thought it was ideal. I love the GRW book, but am frustrated because I am required to use the reading series our principal wants and have a reading specialist who comes in every day for an hour to help with instruction. Many would love this, but she strictly believes in round robin reading and direct teaching. We've been in conflict. What I'm going to try to do is at least set up the writing workshop aspect of the book. But what can I do about the guided reading? Can I still do it while using my school's literature text???? HELP
