Guding Readers and Writers 3-6 book

Helly everyone. First of all, I want to say that this board is an excellent idea!!!! I am a first year reading teacher and feeling overwhelemed with the wealth of information that is out there. I tried reading the Guding| Readers and Writers 3-6 book by Fountas and Pinnell and found myself feeling frustrated. There was SO MUCH information that I needed to read in that book that I gave up!!! I am just wondering if this book is worthwhile to read and if anyone is feeling the same way as I am?? I am a remedial reading teacher where I was hired to work with special education students who have reading weaknesses | |
with certain skills. Is this book worthwhile for me?? Does anyone know a good book that pertains to teaching reading and writing skills?? Thanks everyone. Have a happy and healthy new year! :-)
