Talkin' about Teachin
By Elaine

Clip to ScrapBook
Debbie,
Guess what? When I was visiting the Stenhouse website just now, I found a book called BEYOND LEVELED READING. It's one of the texts you can read on line. I scanned a bit of it and it sounds just like what you are talking about. From what I gathered the authors are suggesting that there is a time when "transitional" readers need more than leveled books. I think they even called the step beyond leveled, supported!!!! I could be wrong, but surf on over there and check it out when you have time. What great fun talking about teaching reading. Am I some kind of incredible nerd -- or what?
Elaine
