Fractions
By Kimberly

Clip to ScrapBook
You could use a candy bar and a plastic knife to show fractions. Let each table or student depending on how many you want to buy show one half, one third one fourth, etc.

I have a challenging class this year and we used construction paper circles (we don't get to have much fun). We cut out 4 different color whole circles (big). Then we cut one in halves, one in fourths, and one in eighths. We used the different colors to lay on top of one another and compare the different fractions to one another. We wrote on each fraction piece and labeled it in words and numbers.
