Math programs
By TLC

Clip to ScrapBook
We have also looked at Everyday Math but probably won't purchase it because we found Math trailblazers to have a better overall program. Everyday Math looked good and teachers liked it at first because it looks traditional
with a standard teachers manual which appeared easy to follow. I was concerned that it didn't give students enough opportunitites to write about their thinking when solving math problems. This is really important in Washington state so students can master our state standards based test - the WASL. It includs a lot of instruction concerning number sense which I liked. Take a careful look
at the parent homework component because I have heard concerns from teacher parents about this being difficult and not family friendly. I hope this helps a bit because I certainly understand what a difficult decision this is. Good luck!
