Saxon math meeting
By Sandy

Clip to ScrapBook
I teach a 2-year kindergarten of 4 and 5 year olds. We have our meeting first thing every morning unless there is a special circumstance. It usually lasts about 10 minutes, maybe 15 if we have had a field trip the previous day and we take time to share about it. Yes, they do get bored with the same routine every morning and they anticipate the answers to questions I haven't even asked yet. I don't do every part every day and to add variety I teach the calendar and numbers in Spanish the second half of each month. This keeps things interesting and they want to listen more carefully to the questions being asked to give the appropriate answers.
