Multiplication
By Melissa

Clip to ScrapBook
I use a soccer ball and I write the numbers 1-9 all over. On Fridays we play "silent diamond". Students sit on their desks and toss the ball around. When they catch it they look at their thumbs and multiply the two numbers, saying the problem aloud. I also use this to find = fractions. The larger number on top/smaller on bottom and the person who catches it calls on someone else to give an = fraction.
