Math games
By Deb

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi there,

I know what you mean. I teach fourth grade and I still have kids that do not know them. I give my kids minute tests on each times table. I start with 3 and if they get 100 they move on to the 4s the next day. That way they only study one a night. I keep a chart on the wall so they can see their progress. That may be a motivation. Have you tried math games? Have them partner up and use playing cards to play war. each student turns over two cards and calls out the product. the larger gets all the cards. i have other games at school that i could email to you if you want. right now, i can't recall the others. the other thing i had my kids do is make up flashcards. hope this helps!
