Saxon
By Kimberly

Clip to ScrapBook
I have taught Saxon for several years. I find that after a couple of weeks, the kids fit in perfectly. I grade very easily for the new ones the first couple of assessments. I tell them to come to me with anything they have not learned before. I also go over every problem before they start the worksheet for a few days with the whole class and review what each term means and how we solve that problem. It is a great review for even the "old hats" at Saxon. The first day or two I give them a partner (who I know is good at explaining) and they go over any problems the new student has together. Then they report to me any difficulties they both had.
